Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN the first of his long-players for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was born into an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are each musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. When a young boy was in school, he took guitar and saxophone. The initial goal was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he discovered his own talent for singing and changed the course his life.
