Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Following the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington, Ohio to live in Los Angeles. Even though she had financial difficulties in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's primary character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace was forced to quit the show in order to focus on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog back in 2005. The following year, she starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated interpretation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the character as Shannon in two more episodes of Lost which included the finale of the series. She also was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. Her acting career started as a young teenager with small parts in a few films directed from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother on the 2001 cult movie Donnie Darko. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her performance in the erotic romance comedy Secretary (2002) and the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in an Golden Globe Award nomination. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008 after many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. The year 2009 was the time she was recognized as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mom in Crazy Heart. She then appeared in dramas and comedies, including Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Alongside her work as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen as a character in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles include as the main character in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
