Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of singing tangos as well as operas. Also, she loves the dramatic stage. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother before beginning her singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. The year 2000 saw her move back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her home in southern California. She currently performs classical Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged in a myriad of local activities as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to be able communicate with other people her enthusiasm for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to help keep the tradition in the present.
